Purpose of SMS Communications
Wood County Head Start utilizes SMS (text messaging) to communicate with parents and guardians in a timely and convenient manner regarding student related matters such as: school closings, attendance, educational and behavioral updates, parent events/meetings, etc.
Consent to Receive SMS messages
By signing our email and messaging form you consent to receive SMS notifications as described above. Message frequency may vary depending on the needs of the family and child, but messaging will not take place outside of business hours unless urgent. Message and data rates may apply.
Privacy of your information
WCHS is committed to protecting your privacy. We do not share, sell, or distribute your mobile phone number(s) to third parties for marketing or any other purpose. Your contact information is used solely for official school communications.
Opt-Out Procedure
If you wish to stop receiving SMS messages from WCHS, you can opt out at any time by contacting the main office or contacting your Family Service Worker at your center. Please note that opting out may result in missing important communication from your school.

Wood County Head Start collects mobile phone contact information from all parents/guardians of students enrolled in Wood County Head Start. By signing our Text Messaging Form at the child’s Initial Home Visit, you agree to receive text messages regarding student related matters such as: school closings, attendance, educational and behavioral updates, parent events/meetings, etc.
